LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a full-time Systems Security Engineer to work in a onsite for our client in Vancouver, WA, 98661. As a Systems Security Engineer, you'll validate and ensure compliance of system development and implementations with NN-801 and NIST SP 800-171 standards. Your role includes configuring and hardening classified systems under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and supporting governance documentation through technical writing. Key responsibilities involve validating cyber strategy documentation, system testing, and network configurations, as well as conducting risk analysis and providing security recommendations. No C2C and No Sponsorship only W2 (US).
Responsibilities:
Validate the work of others in areas such as governance and cyber strategy documentation, system testing, software compliance, design, documentation, problem tracking, test plans, vulnerability management, system hardening, and release management.
Ensure network configuration packages meet contractual and regulatory requirements, including segregation, VLAN, Ports, Protocols and Services (PPS), and equipment architecture.
Build, harden, deploy, and maintain classified systems, ensuring continuous monitoring and documentation.
Provide technical writing support for governance documentation.
Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Experience with implementing, evaluating and/or auditing NIST 800-171/CMMC/RMF.
7 years of experience with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent, or 10 years of related technical experience
4+ years of experience in Information Security or Audit
Significant experience with Information Security technologies, including vulnerability scanning tools, SIEMs, endpoint protection tools, DLP, and IDS/IPS tools
One or more of the following certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate) GCED, GCIH, CCSP
