Job Description:

Position: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) to Pittsburgh, PA

Duration: 12 month contract

PR: $ 53.48/hr

Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering
  • Passion for developing enterprise-scale monitoring solutions
  • Experience with Python or similar programming language
  • Experience with Linux and Windows server administration
  • Experience with SDLC best practices and source control tools such as GIT

Plusses:
  • Experience in Network TCP/IP
  • Experience with monitoring protocols such as SNMP, Syslogs, Wireshark, Agent-based monitoring
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard Enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetScout, Tripwire, Illumio, Prometheus)
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
  • Experience with public cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure

Day to Day: Insight Global is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer. As an Infrastructure Engineer, this candidate will be responsible for Engineering the firms Enterprise infrastructure monitoring tools. The candidate should be skilled in deploying resilient and scalable vendor and open-source products into a windows and Linux environment. The role also includes developing solutions to integrate the monitoring tools into the firm's ecosystem along with developing automations to reduce manual BAU work. The candidate should have had experience with industry standard monitoring tools and have a working knowledge of Python and SDLC best practices. The candidate will also provide second level support for the tools and services within the team.

  • Design, implement, and support Enterprise-class monitoring solutions for the firm's global infrastructure
  • Develop automations and solutions with Python to integrate monitoring tools into the wider ecosystem
  • Participate in the Agile Development process
  • Work with stakeholders to collect requirements
  • Support and maintain existing tools and onboard new functionalities to existing tools
  • Multi-task and adapt quickly to changing requirements, scope, and priorities
  • Drive innovations in the platform
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and deliver end-to-end products and features
