Job Description:

Working for a company voted Great Places to Work - 2022, the Specialist I, IT Support is responsible for intermediate level technical support, security and maintenance of the company's standard hardware and software applications inclusive of workstations, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, etc.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide end-user technical support to all onsite and remote associates via remote support tools, phone, or in person.
  • Lead or participate in projects related to the infrastructure, security, or support initiatives of the company.
  • Triage, prioritize, communicate, document, escalate, and resolve all assigned incidents through the IT Service Management system.
  • Assist the corporate security team and respond to security incidents and breaches to mitigate risk.
  • Monitor, administer, and support all workstations and validate that all operating systems are up to date and properly configured with all appropriate software inclusive of endpoint security.
  • Software installations utilizing SCCM or TeamViewer.
  • Perform tasks within Active Directory, 365 administration, Exchange Online, Azure, etc.
  • Support and troubleshoot all video and audio conference systems.
  • Hardware troubleshooting that includes workstations, mobile devices, network hardware devices and peripheral devices (printers, keyboards, monitors, mouse, etc.).
  • Document resolutions and create job aides or instructions for the IT department knowledgebase and intranet.
  • Follow all proper company and IT procedures related to processing all incidents and changes within the IT environment.
  • Maintain documentation on setups, logging, client, server and networking equipment configurations and all policies or procedures.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and assigned projects or tasks by IT management.
  • Ability to utilize the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI) to automate manual workflow processes and generate relevant data reports.
  • Troubleshoot initial LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN connectivity issues on workstations and laptops for remote and onsite users or escalate appropriately.
  • Train end-users in basic usage of Windows operating systems, Microsoft365 applications, Adobe products and Apple products when necessary.
  • Understanding of single sign-on (SSO), multifactor authentication (MFA), cloud services, Windows servers, Active Directory, and client/server architecture.
  • Collaborate with Terumo IT associates and vendors in new initiatives and supporting the existing infrastructure.
  • Assist the IT team with computer replacements, upgrades, or inventory tasks whenever necessary.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of current and new features related to Microsoft products and security technologies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Skills/Experience Needed for the Role
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or closely related field.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an IT help desk or support role within a medium to large sized corporate IT infrastructure.
  3. Experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft products (Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure, Exchange Online), hardware (computers, tablets, mobile phones) and networks (OSI Model, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
  4. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range

$24.19 - $33.82/hr. (Compensation could be higher based on education, experience and skill sets)
