The Chief People Officer will plan, develop, establish, direct, and administer the People Operations functions (Human Resources, Safety, Training & Development, Total Rewards, Recruiting, HRIS, etc.), ensuring compliance and enabling the core values and strategy of the organization. The role reports to the Co-CEOs and is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Leads the People Operations function across multiple company locations and provides support for Remote Teams.
Directly supervises the Director of Safety, Director of HR, and several Managers in the People Operations Division.
Provides HR expertise and development to the field merchandising Human Resources team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership to develop programs aligned with the overall business strategy.
Lead organizational culture initiatives to enhance employee experiences, engagement, and productivity.
Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on people-related matters.
Oversee talent programs (staffing, recruiting, and retention) to attract and retain top talent.
Develop programs to encourage internal mobility and career development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Promote an inclusive, respectful, and safe workplace culture.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Oversee health and wellness programs, leave, and accommodation processes.
Deliver impactful results through programs aimed at improving the employee experience.
Oversee the administration of HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
Maximize the use of people systems (HRIS, ATS, Survey, SDS, etc.) to enhance manager and employee experiences throughout the employment life cycle.
Select and develop a high-performing team of professionals.
Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
At least ten years of human resources management experience required.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
Experience in a seasonal business preferred but not required.
Experience in the agricultural industry preferred but not required.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred but not required.
