Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:
  • Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Develop project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and contractors.

Design & Engineering:
  • Oversee and participate in the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Create and review detailed mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and documentation.
  • Perform calculations and simulations to ensure design integrity, safety, and efficiency.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.

Quality Assurance & Testing:
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes for mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Oversee testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for any design or manufacturing defects.

Budgeting & Cost Management:
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions are identified and implemented.
  • Track project expenses and ensure all financial targets are met or adjusted as needed.

Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with other departments, including electrical, civil, and software engineers, to integrate mechanical designs into larger systems.
  • Present project updates, designs, and technical information to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and components, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications.

Health & Safety:
  • Ensure that all engineering work adheres to company and industry health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Identify potential hazards in the design and implementation of mechanical systems and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or professional engineering (PE) certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or project engineering roles
