About the Position We seek an individual with a collaborative spirit who can seamlessly work together with other top-talented designers, drafters, in-house engineering teams, consultants, and contractors to advance our projects. Your role will involve:
Collaborating with and mentoring designers and drafters
Performing building assessments and writing reports
Planning and executing projects from inception through completion on schedule and within budget
Utilizing BIM software and visualization methods
Incorporating best practices and sustainability strategies into designs
Ensuring projects meet client expectations and code requirements
Coordinating with consultants and contractors
Reviewing specifications
Performing field observation, overseeing construction administration, and ensuring adherence to design intent
Reviewing submittals, pay requests, change orders, etc.
Managing project close-out and ensuring successful project delivery
Presenting to clients and the public
Responsible for project profitability and client maintenance
Location:
Somerville's office is located in Green Bay, Wisconsin
This is a full-time, in-office position
Qualifications Experience:
Ten+ years of architectural experience working on projects in healthcare, education, community, or commercial markets
A strong portfolio of work, including award-winning projects
Technical Knowledge:
Experience with Revit, BIM software, and Bluebeam preferred
Education:
Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture
NCARB licensed with 10+ years of experience
LEED accreditation preferred
Skills:
Artistic and thoughtful design abilities
Expertise in design theory
Excellent communication, writing, and public speaking/presentation skills
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
