The Town of Mashpee Office of the Town Manager welcomes applications for a full time Administrative Assistant; $34.19/hour - $37.16/hour commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position works 40 hours/week from 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field; three years of administrative experience in a municipal setting and in dealing with the public; MCPPO (Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official) designation preferred or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Must possess a valid MA driver's license (Class D). Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
Responsibilities: Provides administrative support to the Town Manager/Assistant Town Manager by assisting in the coordination and administration of matters requiring decision making by the Town Manager, Assistant Town Manager, Select Board and other Town boards; administers delegated or assigned programs, tasks or responsibilities; assures that matters are processed in a timely manner and according to required procedures; maintains calendars; prepares and produces correspondence and reports; initiates communications with the involved parties and staff to facilitate pending matter resolutions; provides secretarial support to the Town Manager, Assistant Town Manager and Select Board, and other office professional staff; and assists with other administrative and supervisory responsibilities of the office. The essential functions of this position will be uniformly assigned with the other Administrative Assistant position within the office. Positions will cross train in order to cover all duties as required and as needed.
