Shipping and Receiving Associate
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. As a crucial member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments and compare items to work orders provided by supervisor
Unload trucks and process receipts of goods using an ERP system or manual logs
Inspect shipments for damages or defects; report discrepancies or damages to management
Prepare and pack outgoing shipments to ensure safe and accurate delivery
Label outgoing shipments and ensure they are packed according to specifications
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
Keep warehouse clean and organized at all times
Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center
Familiarity with inventory software, databases, and systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
