We are actively seeking a high-energy and experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join a national firm growing their San Diego office. The collaborative and flexible work environment requires the ability to prioritize tasks, pay attention to detail, and work well with a fun and diverse team.
Handle communication with attorneys, courts, service providers, and clients
Work on matters involving court-based litigation and disputes being resolved with various administrative agencies
E-file in both state and federal courts
Keep attorneys and the team apprised of legal procedures and updates
Manage calendaring, research court/local/judges' rules, and cross-check calendaring using software such as eDockets
Additional tasks may include: travel arrangements, expense reports, entering attorneys' timesheets, and other administrative or executive assistant duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
Recent experience in business or commercial litigation
Tenure as a Legal Assistant/Secretary in a litigation environment
Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Strong critical thinking skills, written and verbal communication abilities, attention to detail, proofreading skills, and the ability to multitask
