We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Zero Trust Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Zero Trust architecture and a deep understanding of network security principles. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing Zero Trust security frameworks across our organization, with a specific emphasis on Illumio technologies. The Senior Zero Trust Engineer will also guide and inform organizational strategies related to cybersecurity governance, policy formation, and process workflows.
Responsibilities • Lead the design and implementation of Zero Trust architecture within the organization, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance frameworks. • Leverage Illumio expertise to support the deployment, configuration, and optimization of micro-segmentation and visibility solutions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce Zero Trust security policies, utilizing risk management frameworks. • Provide recommendations on governance processes and workflows to ensure effective implementation and adherence to Zero Trust principles. • Assess current network architecture and identify areas for enhancement to support a Zero Trust model, providing actionable insights and solutions. • Conduct security assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures and identify vulnerabilities. • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in Zero Trust architecture and provide thought leadership on best practices and innovations. • Mentor junior team members and facilitate training sessions on Zero Trust concepts and technologies. • Network with industry professionals and participate in relevant forums to enhance knowledge and promote best practices in Zero Trust security.
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Zero Trust architecture and network security. • Expertise in Illumio solutions and micro-segmentation processes • CISSP certification is preferred; additional security certifications (e.g., CISM, CISA, CEH) are a plus. • Strong understanding of network architecture, security technologies, and end-to-end Zero Trust concepts. • Proficiency in providing recommendations on security policy development, governance, and organizational change management. • Familiarity with network certifications (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper) is a plus. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
