Position Overview:

Graduate America Dallas is hiring Adjunct and Workforce Technical Instructors to teach and train students across various career, technical, and workforce development programs. We are seeking multi-disciplinary professionals with both teaching and industry experience to provide flexible coverage and support career-readiness outcomes.

Ideal candidates will bring expertise across multiple fields (e.g., HVAC, IoT, and advanced manufacturing) and experience managing workforce or apprenticeship programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact the workforce pipeline by preparing students for high-demand careers with practical, hands-on skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Teach and train students in one or more of the following areas:

  • Facility and Multifamily Maintenance
  • HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing and Nanotechnology
  • Automation and Robotics (Cobots)
  • IoT (Internet of Things) for Smart Systems
  • Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind)
  • Advanced Manufacturing (3D Printing & Additive Manufacturing)
  • Drone Technology and Aerial Systems
  • Safety Programs
  • AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Predictive Maintenance
  • Cybersecurity Programs
  • Deliver structured lessons and practical training aligned with current industry standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress through assessments, hands-on projects, and practical exams.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators to align course delivery with workforce trends and ensure relevant outcomes.
  • Mentor students with career guidance and assist in connecting them with internships, apprenticeships, or employment.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment, following institutional policies and safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Multi-disciplinary expertise (e.g., HVAC + Electrical or Robotics + IoT).
  • Experience in workforce development or apprenticeship program management is highly desirable.
  • Industry-recognized certifications, such as:
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (HVAC)
  • Texas Journeyman/Master License (Electrical, Plumbing)
  • FANUC or Universal Robots Certification (Automation)
  • NABCEP Certification (Solar Energy)
  • FAA Part 107 Certification (Drone Technology)
  • CompTIA Security+ or CISSP (Cybersecurity)
  • At least 1 year of industry experience in relevant fields.
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse student population.

Key Competencies:
  1. Multi-disciplinary teaching ability with adaptability to emerging technologies.
  2. Workforce development expertise and experience managing apprenticeships or career-training programs.
  3. Strong time-management skills to balance course schedules and administrative tasks effectively.
  4. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital teaching tools.
  5. Ability to foster industry connections that support student internships and job placements.


Compensation and Benefits:
  • Hourly Pay: $25 - $45 per hour, based on field and expertise.
