Job Description:

Duties & ResponsibilitiesInstruct and Demonstrate:Lead parkour classes, workshops, and private lessons, providing clear and engaging instructions to participants, primarily youth participants ages 6 - 13.Demonstrate proper techniques, movements, and safety procedures, ensuring thorough understanding among participants and the safe execution of session goals.Set up the site with the necessary equipment prior to the start of programming.Take down and put away equipment at the end of each session.Curriculum Development:Develop and update lesson plans and curriculum to cater to various skill levels and age groups.Incorporate progressive training methods that focus on skill acquisition, strength development, and creative expression.Safety and Risk Management:Prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants by leading proper warm-ups, cool-downs, progressions to sessions.Ensure that all technical instruction has adequate preparations and progressions.Maintain a safe and positive learning atmosphere by keeping an eye on participants while training, identifying potential risks and addressing them promptly.Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate team member.Individualized Coaching:Provide individualized feedback and coaching to participants, recognizing their strengths and areas for improvement.Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and achievement through movement and community.Community Engagement:Actively engage with the parkour community and stay informed about industry trends, events, and developments.Promote a positive image of parkour and the company at community events.Administration:Maintain accurate attendance records and class curriculum.Report any injuries or incidents according to guidelines.Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and administrators regarding program updates, behavioral issues, and individual progress.Communicate with PKGB team members in a timely and professional manner.QualificationsRequired - ADAPT Parkour Coach Qualification - Level 1 certificate or In progress statusRequired - Current First Aid & CPR (Adult & Pediatric) certificateBasic familiarity with workplace communications platforms: Google Suite, SlackExperience working with a variety of ages and abilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to adapt to a wide variety of coaching environments, including both indoor and outdoor venuesFlexibility to adapt coaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles and ability levelsStrong desire to work with youth participants and ability to connect with young peopleBenefitsCompetitive salary with growth opportunities to based on experience and professional developmentProfessional development opportunities for industry-related growthTravel benefits and opportunities based on performance and qualificationsAccess to gym facilities and co-working spaces through local partnershipsDiscounted access to local bikeshare and public transitPerformance Review & EvaluationQuarterly seasonal 1-on-1 meetings with PKGB Head Coach or DirectorWeekly remote Team Meetings via Zoom (Minimum attendance standards based on role/position)Weekly Team Trainings (Minimum attendance standards based on role/position)Additional reviews may be scheduled for specific projects or rolesCommitment & CompensationHourly coaching rate based on experience and performance.Annual Bonus for coaches that hit key benchmarks.Hourly admin rate based on experience and performance.
