Assistant Superintendent - Commercial Slabs-on-Grade Foundations Position Overview The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of commercial slab-on-grade foundation projects for our Commercial Turnkey Division. This role involves coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Superintendent in daily operations of the construction site
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
Monitor work progress to ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines
Conduct regular site inspections to enforce safety protocols and quality standards
Assist in preparing project schedules and reports for management
Communicate effectively with the project team and stakeholders to address any issues that arise
Support the Superintendent in managing project budgets and resource allocation
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction, specifically with slabs and concrete
Strong knowledge of slab-on-grade foundations and associated techniques
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Experience with project management software is a plus
Certification in construction management or related field is preferred
