OVERVIEW:

The Specialist, IT & POS manages and ensures effective and secure operations of a variety of technology solutions with a strong background in restaurant technology systems and a passion for optimizing guests' experiences and business operations. This individual will be responsible for implementing, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT systems at both the corporate support center and restaurants to ensure efficient operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the setup, implementation and ongoing support of technology solutions & POS systems and new functionalities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical team to gather and analyze requirements for system changes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical team to ensure successful delivery of projects comprising of cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance, procurement, executive management).
  • Support the integration of POS systems with other enterprise systems and customer-facing technology.
  • Provide ongoing administration of users, menus, pricing, and reporting for the POS system to support the Operations teams.
  • Provide support for all IT systems, including troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems and equipment.
  • Create and maintain application documentation, including technical flow charts, process diagrams, end-user guides, FAQs, and change/configuration management documents.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular system audits to ensure system efficiency.
  • Provide support during off-hours as needed to support mission-critical systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing, supporting and managing POS systems, specifically Toast, is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft, MAC, Android, and iOS operating system administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in creating technical documentation and training materials.
  • Experience with system integration and data sharing between different enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
