Summary
We are recruiting for a Process Engineer, Assembly. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing a program of continuous manufacturing process improvement designed to meet divisional objectives and improve the organization's competitive position. Primary focus areas are quality improvement, cost reduction, IT solutions, implementation of Lean Manufacturing systems, and the development of process and material control systems. This is a hands-on role that will require being on the shop floor and working closely with the production and assembly teams.

Primary Responsibilities
Lead, coordinate, and implement process and quality improvements.
Analyze present manufacturing operations and implement improvements to methods, equipment, layouts, etc. that streamline operations, improve quality, and reduce costs.
Develop performance measures or auditing devices to ensure improvements are successful and permanent.
Lead cost reduction efforts through FMV savings tracker, coordinating the deployment of the process engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Quality teams as necessary to complete targeted projects.
Develop, coordinate, and implement information technology solutions throughout the division.
Analyze present manual data collection processes and propose and implement automated and semi-automated data collection solutions.
Propose, develop, and implement automated interfaces with SAP, SAS, Ignition, etc. to minimize data entry and improve accuracy.
Develop, document, and implement a robust material and process control system.
Identify process control points.
Determine the material and process data to monitor, identify the best measurement method, set control limits, and determine response plans.
Partner with the Quality and Production teams to enforce adherence to the system.
Support/lead higher-level efforts including long-term strategy, sustainability, and capital planning for the division.
Supervise the process engineering team, coordinate their projects, and support in their respective areas.
Education, Skills, and Experience
Four-year degree in engineering, management, or related technical field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, quality, or related technical environment.
Proven experience in developing and driving change through continuous improvement and/or quality systems.
Proven experience in influencing and implementing these changes and improvements.
