Job Description:

AS&T is seeking junior and senior level systems administrator with Linux experience to support their engineering organization. The successful candidate will have experience supporting Linux based users on a LAN, including configuration management, build automation and release engineering. Candidate should also be experienced in solving end-user computer system problems and improving performance on the following platforms/operating systems: Linux RedHat 5 & 6, RedHawk 5 & 6. Experience installing and evaluating COTS software products and tools.

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE SECURITY+

Required Experience:

• Linux Systems Administration skills with knowledge and ability to work with third party products as required.

• Ability to work independently in a lab environment.

• Supporting Linux based users on a LAN, including operating systems

• Solving end-user computer system problems and improving performance on the following platforms/operating systems: Linux RedHat 5 &6, RedHawk 5 & 6.

• Installing and evaluating COTS software products and tools.

• Agile process and Core Digital Transformation

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Candidate must be able to obtain Security + certification

• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level. Requires U.S. Citizenship.

Desired Skills:

• Experienced Administration/Systems Engineer in both Unix and Microsoft Windows.

• Experience with Linux RedHat & RedHawk Operating Systems, Computer Networking and Communications Systems, Computer Networking and Communications Systems, and Virtualization.

• Experience with the Creation of bash and perl scripts to define and create environments within ClearCase

• Rational ClearCase tools supporting the software configuration management (SCM) processes.

• Knowledge of data communications and networking
