The Senior System Administrator helps implement, configure, support, maintain, backup, and optimize AdelFi's network infrastructure and back-office information systems; and maintains current knowledge of network devices, servers, PCs, mobile devices, operating systems, remote access, security systems, email, data backup, cloud, printers, and telephony. The Senior System Administrator also assists with end user support, vendor management, performance reporting, task coordination, system documentation, incident response, disaster recovery, security audits, vulnerability remediation, and core system processing.
Knowledge
Extensive knowledge of PC software, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
Expertise in Windows and LinuxOS, call center systems / UCaaS, printers, servers, VoIP telephones, network/communications equipment, and Microsoft Office.
Cloud environment and application (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, etc.) administration and security.
SSL and IPSEC VPN design and implementation
Expertise with industry security guidelines and assessments (i.e. NIST, CIS, FFIEC, GLBA, PCI, CAT/ACET, GDPR)
Network architecture and protocols: TCP/IP, SFTP, SSH, SNMP, HTTPS, etc.
Hypervisor environments such as VMware (including SAN storage, replication/backup, etc.)
Expertise with security technologies (i.e. EDR, SIEM, VulnScan, IPS/IDS, DLP, encryption, email security, SSH/SSL, VPN, MDM, Windows group policy and authentication methods).
Expertise in supporting and securing remote endpoints.
RADIUS, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, and federated authentication methods.
Thorough working knowledge of local area networks and client/server computer systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the organization's servers, PCs, operating systems, and associated hardware and software (Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, etc.).
Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot server systems, PCs, virtual machines, and storage solutions.
Add, update, or remove user access to systems as directed.
Assist with the remediation of security vulnerabilities and perform system security audits.
Receive, investigate, and respond to security alerts (as a member of the Security Operations Center) and participate in Back Office duty phone rotation.
Maintain awareness of AdelFi IT policies and IT security frameworks (as directed). Ensure the security and integrity of systems by implementing best practices and security protocols.
Participate in AdelFi Enterprise and IS Low Complexity and Internal Projects.
Assist with designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network configurations for efficiency.
Backup and Recovery
Assist with development and implementation of backup and recovery strategies.
Participates in incident response and business recovery planning/exercises.
Support computer operations staff in creating and executing standard procedures for data processing in a timely, accurate manner.
Collaborate with other IT staff and business units to develop and implement IT solutions. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Keep informed of the latest developments in software, hardware and systems. Recommends methods and practices to minimize costs, ensure optimum efficiency, and maintain high quality standards.
Implement performance optimization strategies to ensure the efficient operation of IT systems.
Provide technical support to end-users and assist in problem resolution.
Respond to and resolve escalated support issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with the coordination of Help Desk ticket assignment and monitoring.
Responsible for compliance with OFAC/USA PATRIOT Act and the Customer Identification Program as applicable to your position.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field and 5-8 years of relevant experience in network/server administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. IT related certifications highly desired.
Work Location and Schedule
Work is performed onsite and/or approved remote site; regular meetings in the office may be required. Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST (occasional overtime may be required).
