What You'll Do:
Innovation in Action: You'll design and implement the most efficient methods for manufacturing and assembling/testing products, ensuring high-quality output.
Process Improvement Leader: Investigate new processes, materials, and technologies. Analyze tooling and equipment to increase efficiency and reduce costs through data analysis and time studies.
Cost Efficiency Guru: Provide accurate cost estimates and recommendations for process optimizations that deliver tangible savings while maintaining excellence.
Tooling and Design Expert: Design, procure, and enhance tooling, gauging, and fixtures that keep production moving smoothly.
Master of Documentation: Create and maintain essential records, from inspection reports and CNC programs to routings and tool databases, ensuring seamless production.
Collaboration & Guidance: Work closely with vendors, contractors, and plant personnel to ensure that manufacturing techniques meet exacting specifications and drive success across the board.
Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Epicor, SolidWorks, and Esprit software-you're comfortable utilizing technology to streamline manufacturing.
Quality Champion: Adhere to all quality systems requirements, ensuring that everything you do supports a commitment to excellence.
Project Enthusiast: As directed by management, take the lead on special projects that push our manufacturing capabilities to new heights.
What You Bring:
Education:
A technical degree in CNC programming from a 2-year technical college, university, or equivalent education.
Experience:
3 years of hands-on experience with CNC programming, fixture design, and tooling for lathes and machining centers (both horizontal and vertical).
Proven experience (3+ years) with CAM software.
Skills & Abilities:
Software Proficiency: You're well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced manufacturing software like Epicor, SolidWorks, and Esprit.
Engineering Prowess: Capable of analyzing and interpreting engineering designs, drawings, and results, with a keen eye for details in processes, materials, and specifications.
Math & Reasoning Skills: Strong in calculations for proportions, percentages, and geometry, with the ability to apply advanced math concepts (like algebra and trigonometry) to real-world manufacturing scenarios.
