Job Description - Field Manager

Objectives of this role

  • Communicate with project managers, clients and contractors to define deliverables to project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with organizational goals
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring that projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget
  • Create effective communication and procedures to ensure high level of budget tracking
  • Ensure safety and compliance are achieved to the highest level possible
  • Analyze project progress to identify areas that need improvement and create solutions
  • Help build the skill sets of team members and share learnings with other employees
  • Achieve organizational goals while adhering to standards and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Manage all material receiving and issuance daily, coordinating with field personnel and contractors to ensure accurate records
  • Maintain inventory records and communicate weekly reports for material flow to accounting
  • Coordinate pay applications from contractors by working closely with field personnel on pay application approval
  • Maintain reporting and records of all permits by working with engineering and field teams to collect appropriate data and report weekly on status
  • Assist project managers by organizing project documentation and tracking changes to ensure accuracy of working materials
  • Assist managers with personnel administration and policy compliance
  • Ensure that all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirement
  • Develop and maintain project performance database that tracks overall progress and achievement of milestones
  • Assign and monitor resources effectively to boost project efficiency and maximize deliverables output
  • Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels, and escalate issues according to project work plan
  • Serve as point of communication between company teams and external resources
  • Deepen partnerships with outside resources, including third-party vendors and researchers

Requirements and skills:

  • Proven experience as coordinator
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • BSc/BA in engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
  • Conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Affirmation of physical fitness is adequate to perform the assigned duties without excessive risk or harm to themselves or others.
