Position: Outside Sales Executive

Reports to: President / CEO

Job Description:

The sales executive will be responsible for achieving revenue goals by selling from Phoenix Media Network, Inc.'s ("PMN") portfolio of industry leading, fresh-foods media platforms and events for an assigned set of prospects and accounts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

These duties include, but are not limited to, the following (other duties may be assigned):
• Generate revenue by establishing or developing business relationships with new/existing customers and prospects by collaboratively reviewing their business / marketing objectives, presenting solutions that fulfill those objectives, securing signed orders, and providing on-going customer support.
• Provide monthly forward-looking sales forecasts / growth plans and participate in regular performance reviews discussing the status and progress of your key accounts, territory, and sales by category.
• Fully and independently employ the Customer Relationship Management ("CRM") system to comply with both quantitative and qualitative expectations as well as reporting requirements:

o Enter prospect / account / contact information

o Record your communications, activity and actions, including but not limited to, daily call reporting

o Execute eMarketing campaigns

o Prepare, update and send proposals in accordance with PMN's current rate card

o Convert proposals to insertion orders / closed sales

o Track and communicate sales status and progress toward goals.
• Complete the requisite quantity of generated leads, communications, proposals, and closed sales to achieve the established prospect pipeline targets and sales goals, with all sales proposals to be made in accordance with PMN's current rate cards.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members across the organization as needed to prepare presentations, fulfill insertion orders, close booths and/or sponsorships, and/or achieve inter-departmental responsibilities.
• Proactively troubleshoot problems that may arise to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Participate in routine sales team meetings and provide your observations, insights, and recommendations regarding sales / marketing strategies and tactics.
• Travel as required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to, potential and existing customer visits, market visits, conventions and meetings, as well as pre-authorized client entertainment.

Requirements and Preferences:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's or associate's degree in advertising, communications, or related field is preferred.
• Must have a current driver's license and/or reliable self-funded transportation.
• Willingness to travel within the designated assigned territory, including day and overnight travel dependent on the location.
• Must possess credit or debit card in order to rent cars, check into hotels, leave deposits, etc., where the company cannot provide these services in advance.
• Demonstrated experience working as an advertising and/or event sales representative.
• Proven self-starter, able to perform well independently and as a member of a team.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient with CRM applications, such as ACT!, SalesForce, ZOHO, HubSpot, or, preferably Media OS, which is presently the application used by all PMN staff.
• Sound knowledge of sales and marketing principles and techniques.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong presentation, negotiation and consultative sales skills.
• Effective communication skills via telephone, internet conference calls, emails, and personal visits.
• Highly creative, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
• Understanding of data and analytics for advertising campaigns and social media programs, preferred.
• Understanding of the fresh produce and fresh foods industry (preferred).
• Perform all duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor(s).
