The Child & Family Health Collaborative of Ohio (Collaborative) is a non-profit subsidiary of The Ohio Children's Alliance. The Collaborative was founded in 2017 to propel community-based behavioral health organizations to collaborate, innovate, and develop new program opportunities.

As a subsidiary of the Ohio Children's Alliance, the Collaborative leverages the strength of 40 community behavioral health organizations to advance care delivery and social services innovation across Ohio. Value-based contracting, population health management, and continuous quality improvement are the core functions of the Collaborative.

Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and goal-focused leader to serve as Director of Value-Based Care. Reporting to the President and CEO, this role is perfect for someone with a background in healthcare administration, value-based contracting, and population health management. The ideal candidate is eager to take on a challenging and rewarding opportunity focused on growth and expansion. As the Director, you will cultivate strong relationships with our 40 participating community behavioral health organizations, Ohio Medicaid health plan leadership, regional children's hospitals, and our talented staff team. The incoming Director will manage an existing portfolio of value-based contracts, grow new value-based opportunities, advance data sharing and clinical integration within the network, and direct continuous quality improvement that moves the needle toward better outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Relationship management: Cultivate extensive relationships with leadership of Ohio Medicaid health plans and children's hospitals, build and sustain genuine collaboration with participating community behavioral health organization leaders, identify and foster relationships with other key stakeholders in Ohio.
  • Quality Improvement: With a focus on continuous quality improvement, oversee and advance performance on value-based programs spanning pediatric and behavioral health domains, integrate a quality improvement focus into all aspects of health care network functions. Establish, implement, and measure quality improvement initiatives necessary to accomplish, and improve member care.
  • Growth and expansion: Discern vital areas for growth and advancement of the clinically integrated healthcare network, including growth in participating providers and in new value-based opportunities. Develop and implement contracting goals with Medicaid health plans, including rate negotiation, value-based program development, provider facility-level credentialing, new provider onboarding, and overall payor relations. Continually research and pursue new business development and innovation opportunities.
  • Supervision and leadership: Supervise a small but talented team of support staff, and collaborate cross-functionally with administrative and leadership staff of the parent organization. Direct management of network committees including Quality, Contracting, and Executive Committees.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, public health, integrative health, healthcare administration, nursing, business administration, or other related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience with managing complex healthcare projects and/or programs with demonstrated successful outcomes.
  • Experience working with clinical integration, quality improvement, and/or value-based health care.
  • Advanced training in project management, performance improvement, and quality improvement methodologies is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in managing and leading employees, programs, and budgets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Apricot, and Monday.com.
