The Job

Hyperframe seeks an organized, analytical, "battle-tested" Director of Plant Operations for its new San Leandro, CA factory. In this role, you will take responsibility for the continued build-out of our manufacturing plant and production team. You will streamline first shift operations and add a second shift to expand capacity. Successful candidates will leverage their engineering background to foster a culture of continuous improvement, working alongside Hyperframe's manufacturing engineering team to optimize plant layout and equipment design.

Hyperframe's goal is to become the world's largest manufacturer of high-productivity construction materials. Manufacturing excellence is key to that vision. By scaling up Hyperframe's production output, you will dramatically improve productivity for the largest construction projects in the world.

Duties
  • Oversee all aspects of production operations for Hyperframe's new San Leandro, CA factory - including training, production planning, procurement, inventory control, manufacturing, and shipping.
  • Hire and manage all plant operations personnel, including shift supervisors, production planning, and inventory control personnel.
  • Create and maintain a strong safety culture.
  • Implement and maintain strong standards for incoming and outgoing quality control.
  • Take responsibility for measuring and improving the plant's safety, quality, and throughput metrics.
  • Provide continuous feedback to Hyperframe's manufacturing engineering team for plant layout and equipment design.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (ideally in math, science, or engineering)
  • Experience building and leading an organization
  • Direct experience ramping a new manufacturing plant
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a manufacturing plant
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in San Leandro, CA
