We are partnering with a well-established company to find an exceptional Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the organization's financial strategy and direction.
Your responsibilities will include contributing to P&L, liquidity, and capital forecasts, leading the annual budgeting process, and conducting operating expense variance analysis. Additionally, you will guide the FP&A team in utilizing data visualization tools and foster the professional development of your team members.
This is an on-site position based in Spartanburg, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain monthly Management Reporting Packages to deliver accurate and timely financial insights.
Performance Monitoring: Collaborate across all levels of the organization to report, monitor, and manage key financial and non-financial performance indicators, analyzing variances to provide actionable insights.
Trend Analysis: Examine current and historical trends in key performance indicators, including revenue, expenses, operations, and portfolio balances/originations.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the ongoing development of budgeting and financial forecasting models, accounting for a variety of inputs and scenarios.
Financial Analysis: Prepare and interpret complex financial data to provide management with timely and accurate recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Variance Analysis: Deliver detailed explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Ad Hoc Projects: Lead financial analysis and assumption development for business cases, key initiatives, and special projects supporting various business units.
Competitive Analysis: Contribute to quarterly earnings call updates and ad hoc competitor analysis reporting for strategic partners.
Industry Reporting: Provide bi-monthly industry updates to the ownership team and key executives.
Qualifications:
10-15 years of experience in FP&A and financial modeling.
CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred but not required.
Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, or Alteryx is highly desirable.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and innovative problem-solving abilities.
Proven track record in analyzing trends, variances, and performance measures.
Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Comfortable interacting with executive leadership and presenting complex financial data.
A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.
