Adjunct Instructor of Religion at LANE COLLEGE in Jackson, Tennessee

Job Description:

Department of Humanities at Lane College is accepting applications for the Adjunct position in Religion. The Adjunct will work closely with the Religion faculty to Implement and instruct students using various instructional modes for traditional, hybrid or online settings.
Responsibilities:

• Teach 3–9 hours per semester.


• Execute teaching strategies, monitor and evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate student records.


• Advise and mentor students.


• Participate in department, division, and college meetings.


• Attend scheduled Department, division, and college staff meetings.


• Contribute to the College and community environment.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations.


• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body.


• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

•    Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Religion
•    A doctorate in Religion is preferred.
•    Ability to teach Religion courses.
•    Familiarity with Blackboard Ultra
•    Excellent computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
•    Sitting for long periods of time, walking, climbing stairs, bending and stretching may be required at a minimum of 1% of the time.
