Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. You will manage the accounting and contracts team, coordinate financial reporting, and support the companys financial goals by providing key insights.As well as mentoring and coaching employees to support their professional development.
Essential Duties
Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, and contracts.
Manage and mentor the accounting and contracts team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Coordinate and manage external audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation and support.
Manage the contracts department. Ensuring contracts are carefully reviewed, negotiated, and executed in accordance with company and legal requirements.
Supervise the AR and AP department, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and cash application.
Analyze, review, and implement strategies to improve overall cashflow.
Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, ensuring clear communication of expectations and goals.
Monitor and analyze cost variances and implement cost control measures.
Qualifications
Accounting experience in construction or a related industry.
Experience in managing prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proficiency with Accounting systems such as Acumatica
Proven experience using Microsoft office programs.
Job Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software
3 or more years of experience in a leadership role
Valid Driver's License
Related Experience
3-5 years of related accounting manager experience.
At least 5 years of accounting experience required.
Experience managing a team is required.
Safety/Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25lb
Mostly sedentary position, some standing and walking required.
Education
Highschool diploma or equivalent
A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements
Reports to: CFO
Pay Rate: $67,000-$100,000 per year
Classification: Full-time, Exempt, In Person
Supervisory: This position has less than 10 reporting employees.
