We are seeking an IT Consultant to collaborate with state agencies on all technology requirements. This role is crucial for ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with assigned agencies. The position involves working across IT to meet agency business needs, keeping agencies informed about IT business practices, and bringing together appropriate teams to address IT challenges. Additionally, the role includes facilitating IT projects, upgrades, and enhancements within the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Agency IT Account Representative


• Understand the business and mission of the agency


• Build and maintain relationships with key business leaders within agencies


• Monitor and ensure the quality, effectiveness, and sustainability of all IT services supporting the agency's mission


• Participate in and consult on the preparation of agencies' IT budgets


• Identify critical business applications and agency service expectations (assist with Business Impact Analysis)


• Collaborate across IT to ensure business needs are met


• Raise awareness of common IT business solutions


• Work with other IT resources to identify and implement common business solutions


• Demonstrate emotional intelligence and empathy to meet both technological and emotional needs of agency partners


• Handle difficult situations while maintaining positive relationships


• Exhibit core values in every customer interaction


• Assist agencies with biennial budget preparation


• Understand billing and procurement processes

Minimum Qualifications:

• A 4-year college degree or equivalent years of direct leadership experience in technology/business with evidence of team-building


• Knowledge of current IT tools and best practices, as well as emerging information technology, including client computing, networking, telecommunications platforms, operating systems, integration, and information security


• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technology terms into business understanding


• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills


• Knowledge of governance, policies, and processes of State budgeting


• Understanding of information technology systems and equipment to facilitate and assist with State agency IT requests while providing excellent customer service
