Location: Bellevue, WA

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Transport Engineer in Bellevue, WA


LOGISTICS: This position will be a standard, 8 hour, 8-5 type role, Monday through Friday in office 2 to 3 days per week. Candidate must be local.



Qualifications & Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience with Granite circuit database


• IP knowledge and understanding of routing / assigning IPs


• Solid knowledge Fiber, Ethernet, Cable Diagrams, Nokia equipment and Telco routing


• Microwave experience including: ALU/Nokia MPR9500, PCN,


• Proficient in office computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.


• Decision making skills


• Must be self-motivated, show initiative, and be able to work independently.


• Strong interpersonal and communications skills needed. - Need to be highly productive and pay close attention to detail. - Familiarity with engineering and engineering economic principles preferred.


• DWDM Optical Transport systems including: ALU/Nokia 7705 & 7750 routers


• DESIRED SKILLS: -Familiarity with Dark Fiber vendors, their organizational processes and standards, as well as their network portfolio maps is preferred.


• Knowledge of Pathloss 5 microwave design software -Executive level troubleshooting, problem solving, project management, and interpersonal skills


• Superior organizational and planning skills (setting and communicating priorities; anticipating workload impact on resources of both self and team; delegating where appropriate; consistently following up on outstanding items; and providing focus in meetings and discussions).


• Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply working knowledge of wireless engineering on new projects. - Contract knowledge preferred but not required
