The Vision



We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support our Internal Medicine practice located at 1 Park Way in Haverhill, MA, which provides physical examinations, routine health screenings and preventative care for adult patients. The desired schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm with the expectation that employees will be onsite for all hours worked.



Role Overview



Dedicated to clinical support, our Medical Assistants are trained to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the multidisciplinary care team. At our practice, Medical Assistants work 1 to 1 with their assigned Provider, allowing a strong partnership to be formed. We find that this structure enhances communication, improves efficiency, and personalizes patient care, ultimately leading to a better experience for all parties involved.


Responsibilities include:


  • Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office (anticipated visit volume will be around 20 patients per day)

  • Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, injections/immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed)

  • Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to coordination of care (general patient guidance, test results, prescription refills, prescription refills, coordination of care, etc.)

  • Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas

  • Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs






Qualifications

Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is strongly preferred.

  • Epic experience preferred.

  • Medical Assistant experience strongly preferred, particularly in a community-based ambulatory primary care practice

  • National Medical Assistant certification with one of the following organizations preferred:


    • American Assoc. of Medical Assistants (AAMA) - Credential: CMA

    • American Medical Technologists (AMT) - Credential: RMA

    • National Healthcare Association (NHA) - Credential: CCMA

    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) - Credential: NCMA



(Please Note: National Medical Assistant Certification will be required within six months of hire)
