What you’ll do:
Maintain enterprise-scale Azure solutions, ensuring best practices in cloud architecture, security, and operational efficiency are followed.
Work with IT and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure solutions align with mature cloud and IT practices.
Assist in managing the migration of on-premises infrastructure to Azure, focusing on optimizing performance, cost, and scalability.
Ensure system performance and efficiency provides the highest levels of quality for internal and external user experiences.
Ensure the reliability, availability, and security of cloud services by implementing industry-leading security measures and enforcing compliance with standards.
Monitor cloud environments, analyze performance, and recommend optimizations while ensuring cost efficiency.
Implement and enforce best practices for Microsoft Entra ID and Azure PaaS/IaaS services to support IT and cloud environment maturity.
Implement and test resilience and recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of failures or outages.
Respond to incidents and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues to minimize service disruption and optimize resolution processes.
Help mentor and guide teams in following cloud best practices, supporting the maturity of IT operations and cloud environments.
Work to streamline and automate processes using tools such as Azure Automation, PowerShell, and PowerAutomate to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Continuously develop and maintain system documentation.
What do you need?
A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a strong focus on Azure and a deep understanding of best practices.
Extensive experience with Azure cloud platforms, with a focus on enforcing cloud best practices and supporting infrastructure maturity.
Proven experience in implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure solutions by following established design and architectural frameworks.
Deep understanding of cloud security principles and Azure security tools (e.g., Azure Security Center, Azure Key Vault) and the ability to enforce security standards.
Experience supporting cloud migration strategies, ensuring optimization of resources, performance, and scalability during transitions.
Proficiency in using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Bicep, Terraform, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to automate cloud infrastructure.
Strong understanding of on-premises Active Directory, including user management, group policies, and authentication protocols.
Experience with AD federation services and integration with cloud services.
Experience working with hybrid cloud solutions that integrate on-premises AD with cloud identity services (e.g., Azure AD Connect).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of tasks and infrastructure management.
Strong knowledge of cloud networking, including virtual networks, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers, and enforcing secure network practices.
Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems in Azure environments, ensuring seamless integration and management.
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID migrations, setting up federation, and managing identity-related services (e.g., SAML, SSO).
Strong familiarity with various Azure resources, including Azure SQL, App Services, VMs, Key Vaults, and more.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring best practices are followed.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cloud architects, IT teams, and business stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Azure certifications are highly desirable, but expertise is the number one focus.
Experience in regulated environments, with the ability to document processes and create artifacts to support audits and compliance requirements.
Technology Skills:
Proficient in Azure cloud services, with a deep understanding of enforcing best practices for infrastructure management.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Splunk to ensure cloud infrastructure performance and visibility.
Familiarity with cloud security tools and compliance frameworks to support regulatory requirements and enhance cloud security maturity.
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Bicep, Terraform, and ARM templates.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes for managing infrastructure updates and application deployments.
Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks.
Collaborate with DevOps Engineer and other team members to automate cloud administration and operations.
Experience in cloud migration tools and methodologies for transitioning on-premises infrastructure to Azure.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud and on-premises integration.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) may be beneficial.
