Braun Intertec is seeking interested candidates to join our Hibbing office for a position as a Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician.
As a lab technician, you will have the chance to get hands-on experience in a variety of different laboratory test procedures involving concrete and soils. The primary responsibility of the position is to support the concrete testing department by processing cylinders.
Responsibilities:
Receive and process concrete cylinders
Use of machinery to process samples including concrete saw use
* Respirator will be worn so medical monitoring will be required
Proctor testing when time permits
Maintain equipment on an as needed basis
Support different departments of the lab as needed
The ideal candidate will have:
Education that focused on construction materials testing or civil engineering technology
Related work experience in materials testing or construction is a plus
ACI strength testing technician certification is a plus
MnDOT aggregate production and grading and base certifications are a plus
Ability to work with minimal supervision after receiving direction
All candidates must have:
A safety-first attitude
A High School diploma or equivalent
A valid driver's license with clean driving record
The ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
A demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
