Job Title: RN Supervisor Location: Bakersfield Post Acute, Skilled Nursing Facility, Bakersfield, CA Shift: Day Shift Starting Wage: $45.00 per hour
Position Overview: Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and ensure the highest standard of care for our residents. As the RN Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day clinical operations, supervising nursing staff, and coordinating patient care in compliance with state and federal regulations. This is a leadership position that requires excellent clinical skills, strong organizational abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the delivery of nursing care to residents, ensuring compliance with established care plans and nursing standards.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, including RNs, LVNs, and CNAs, during day shift operations.
Conduct daily rounds to assess resident health status, monitor care delivery, and ensure residents' needs are being met.
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitor and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring proper documentation of resident care, assessments, and interventions.
Manage the scheduling, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective staffing levels.
Provide hands-on clinical support as needed, including assisting with medication administration, wound care, and other nursing procedures.
Address and resolve any nursing or care-related issues promptly, ensuring a safe and caring environment for residents.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and infection control standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the facility.
Qualifications:
Must possess a current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care setting.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
Strong clinical knowledge in geriatric care, wound care, and medication management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of patient care.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and related documentation.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Experience with managing patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, and other cognitive impairments.
Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing Skilled Nursing Facilities.
