• Foundational Network Maintenance knowledge


• Configurations, VLAN, troubleshooting, Standardization, SOP's documentation, tickets, the role is elevating what the current networking team is dealing with.


• Creating new networks to firewall issues, switches, routers, Arista upgrades.


• Previous wireless project experience

Qualifications

○ Proven experience in network engineering and management.
○ Expertise in CVP tech debt management and network resilience testing.
○ Strong understanding of network device licensing and compliance requirements.
○ Strong documentation and reporting skills.


Network Operations Engineer Responsibilities:

• Network Resilience Testing:
○ Conduct regular network resilience tests at each office location to ensure high availability and reliability.
○ Simulate failure scenarios to test network robustness and failover mechanisms.
○ Document and address any vulnerabilities or weaknesses discovered during testing.
○ Provide recommendations and implement solutions to mitigate identified risks.
• Routine Device Maintenance:
○ Perform routine updates on network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
○ Validate network performance and stability post-update.
○ Document any issues encountered and the steps taken to resolve them.
• Network State Backups:
○ Perform regular backups of network configurations and state information.
○ Ensure secure storage and easy retrieval of backup data.
○ Regularly test backup restoration procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Licensing Management:
○ Track and manage network device and software licenses.
○ Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and renewals as needed.
• Deliverables:
○ Monthly status reports on all activities and tasks performed.
○ Documentation of all processes, configurations, and changes made.
○ Detailed reports following network resilience tests, including identified   issues and remediation steps taken.
○ Updated inventory of network device licenses with renewal dates and compliance status.
