MINIMUM PAY RATE:$59,142 annually

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining and tracking all community education, vocational skills and kid's college programs. This position is also responsible for working with the area schools to develop partnership opportunities and camps that will assist in furthering the education of the youth population.





ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coordinate and administer the development, marketing and delivery of Kid's College, Adult Community Education Programing, Disability Programming and various non-credit programs.
2. Ensure that all pre and post seminar paperwork and financial matters are appropriately accomplished according to College and departmental policies. Prepare all required reports for documentation and budget purposes.
3. Develop new seminars in areas of current interest to JJC district residents. Implement strategies allowing a rapid response to current events or developing topics.
4. Seek out grant revenue sources to implement or equip projects; write grant and foundation proposals in collaboration with appropriate JJC departments (i.e., Institutional Advancement, Disability Services, etc.). Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting.
5. Recruit and hire consultants/instructors skilled in delivering high quality training.
6. Supervise 40+ instructors who are both vendors and JJC instructors as well as perform evaluations of all instructors, including addressing any complaints or disciplinary actions.
7. Supervise student employee and/or student intern throughout the year and during summer Kid's College programming.
8. Responsible for achieving a yearly registration number of at least 1,250 individuals for all Community Education programming.
9. Responsible for achieving a yearly revenue of $150,000+ through all classes and program activities.
10. Build relationships with the college community, public agencies, and community groups in support of departmental programs and initiatives.
11. Ensure program processes are compliant with JJC procurement standards.
12. Recommend new fiscal year budget line items based upon past strategies and future projections.
13. Assume other duties as assigned.





MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Education or related area.
2. Three (3) years related experience.
3. Knowledge of training and development, adult learning, and curriculum design.
4. Experience with employee recruitment, hiring and onboarding.
5. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multi-dimensional activities simultaneously; strong marketing orientation.
6. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Good platform and instructional skills. Experience with marketing venues including web-based tools. Evening and/or weekends commensurate with demand.
7. Ability to work well with clients and business customers; must be entrepreneurial, bottom line performance driven, customer focused, and learner centered; able to "sell" and negotiate to achieve mutual goals.
8. Access to transportation for local travel required.
9. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Master's degree.
2. Previous work experience in seminar development and marketing.
3. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
4. Demonstrated multicultural competence.





PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Normal office physical demands.
2. Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events.





WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Duties are performed indoors in the usual office and/or outdoor environment.
