To perform various professional financial duties requiring application of accounting, auditing, and/or budgeting theory, principles, and practices; perform related work.
This position has been identified as being capable of performing job duties in a hybrid work setting. (Hybrid refers to a blend of work performed at a CEI facility and remotely during any given work week.)
Typical Job Functions
Incumbents use their professional background to prepare, analyze, and/or audit financial records and documents, accounting systems, financial statements, work papers, budgets, tax and payroll records, and other related documents. Generally, incumbents prepare reports of findings, conclusions, or recommendations
Participate in or design, modify, and implement financial-related systems
Research and analyze data for accuracy, trends, and variances to ensure acceptable business practices and procedures have been followed and for compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
Computer skills to analyze, research, and maintain financial data and develop financial documents/reports
May conduct meetings and interviews, and may testify in legal proceedings
Backup the Cashier as needed
Make ACH payments for payroll benefits
Accounts Receivable & sponsorships
Advanced Opportunity processing
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Incumbent must reside in the State of Idaho (CEI does not currently sponsor H-1B visas)
Additional Desired Qualifications
Some positions may require auditing coursework or experience working as an auditor
Sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, gross manipulations (involves hands), and standing or sitting (combination). Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.
Onsite work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.
Background Investigations:Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position. Please refer to Policy 225: Background Checks
