We strive to foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, transparency, and integrity.The Department of Radiology seeks a Deliverer II who will support the research of the Cyclotron and Radiochemistry Facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for lab supply management, assisting FDG dispensing and delivery, maintaining facility daily sanitation and routine check for equipment, and performing skilled techniques in support of the lab's research goals.
This position is 100% FTE, 40 hours a week. Monday-Friday 3:30am-12pm. The anticipated shift is based on the operational needs and can change at any time, with notice.
Duties:

    Packing and delivering the radiopharmaceuticals by driving golf cart or facility van to campus or satellite SHC hospitals. (DOT training required) (60% of time)
      Set up the single channel analyzer.Organize the prescription labels and DOT paperwork.Set up containers.Placing doses into containers.Wipe and survey containers according to DOT regulation.Loading containers to vehicles and deliver them to SHC facilities.Bring back empty containers from previous day.Breakdown empty containers.
    Daily recording of all FDG production reports for submission to Finance. (10% of time)
      Prepare daily reports after all doses were delivered.
    Assist higher level laboratory staff in dispensing FDG. (10% of time)
      Moving QC samples and sterile filters from DOT room to production room.Setting up pigs for dispensing.Print prescription labels.
    Perform basic and routine equipment maintenance. Record keeping of service records. (10% of time)
      Wipe and survey DOT room.Wipe and survey delivery vehicles.Make sure gas tank is full for next day delivery.Monitor inventory levels of items related to dispensing activity
    Other tasks that may be assigned that is related to the operation of the radioactivity dispensing system.
      As needed when the dispensing system breaks down.


CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:Position requires a valid California Drivers License and clean driving record. Required DOT training and certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
    Frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat, grasp lightly, use fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, perform desk-based computer tasks, use telephone, write by hand. Ability to stand and move on hard surfaces for up to eight hours.Frequently lift and handle materials up to 60 pounds.Rarely carry/pull and/or push up to 120 pounds.Must have correctible vision to perform duties of the job.Position may require repetitive motion.

WORKING CONDITIONS:Work occurs in a research laboratory environment. Depending on research, may work in the vicinity of animals, chemicals, gasses, or hazardous materials. Expected to follow all safety requirements and procedures including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) if required.
WORK STANDARDS:

The expected pay range for this position is $29.94 (Step 1) to $36.18 (Step 10) per hour. Placement in the pay range is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
