Assistant Athletic Trainer September 20th 2021
Allegheny College is currently seeking applications for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time, ten month, renewable annual appointment with comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary. The assistant athletic trainer reports to the Director of Sports Medicine and is one of a five member staff in cooperation with a supervising team physician.
The assistant athletic trainer will assist in providing a full range of athletic training services to 23 Division III varsity teams, including but not limited to injury prevention, practice and game preparation and support, injury care and treatment and contest management including travel. Successful candidate will also assist with all aspects of athletic training room operation including insurance claims, management of physical screenings, supervision and scheduling of work-study students, as well as any other tasks deemed necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Qualifications include: BOC certification, PA State Licensed and BLS CPR and First Aid certified, commitment to DIII athletic and liberal arts educational philosophy, excellent communication and organization skills, demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, ability to supervise student staff and respond to student needs, and commitment to sport and gender equity within a rigorous academic environment. Bachelor's degree is required and a Masters is preferred.
