The Department of Mathematics has 25 tenure system faculty, 18 professional faculty, 50-60 graduate students, and about 150 majors. Our graduate degree offerings include a Ph.D. in Mathematics and M.S. degrees, as well as Math Education options. Undergraduate offerings include B.A. and B.S. degrees in Mathematics, with or without teacher certification. Additional information about the department is available at math.unt.edu.

Position Overview
The UNT Mathematics Department invites applications for a full-time lecturer position starting in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 4 courses/sections per semester during the academic year at UNT's new branch campus in Frisco, Texas, the nation's fastest growing city. The successful candidate will teach a wide variety of mathematics courses, including entry-level courses, Calculus series, Linear Algebra and Statistics. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the lecturer will actively engage in department service, assisting students, assess student learning outcomes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program and department. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with faculty. An offer of employment for this position will be made dependent upon available funding.
Minimum Qualifications
A master's degree in mathematics or a closely related field, including at least 18 semester credit hours in graduate coursework with a MATH or STAT prefix, in hand or expected by August 2025. Candidates must have at least two years of experience teaching college-level mathematics or statistics courses.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience teaching dual-credit courses
· A record of team teaching, integration, and/or planning across the curriculum
· Past work within an interdisciplinary team or Project Based Learning environment.
· A dedication to student retention.
