General Summary



This position is responsible for assisting Layne Water Treatment engineering operations to ensure work complies with all engineering standards.



Essential Job Accountabilities



  • Under close supervision, create and assemble project submittal documents, including drawings, cutsheets, bills of materials, etc.

  • Review and respond to submittal responses and technical inquiries

  • Generate simple project costing, proposal and bid documents

  • Assist project engineers and project managers with various water treatment project and proposal tasks

  • Help to develop Layne Water Treatment standard designs and product details




Education



  • Must have High School Diploma or GED and be working towards a bachelor's degree





Field of Study



  • Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred, of technical training and related experience.




Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)


  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. At times will be working around large construction equipment, must be safety conscience.
