Ledgent is currently partnering with a firm located in Denver, CO on a 90 day contract position for a Senior Accountant. This position is open to remote candidates who are located outside of Denver.
Job Overview:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting and providing guidance to the financial and accounting functions. This position ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations while overseeing various accounting operations.

General Ledger Oversight:
Manage day-to-day activities for general ledger accounting, including cash management, accounts payable and receivable, accruals, inventory, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and payroll.
Financial Close:
Lead the monthly close process, ensuring adherence to GAAP, relevant tax regulations, and legal requirements. Prepare consolidated financial statements and convert them to the home currency for reporting purposes.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Provide financial analysis as requested by the Controller and prepare journal entries to ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
Prepare estimates and accruals, particularly related to payroll and other expenses.
Billing & Receivables:
Work with project managers to prepare company billings, setting up appropriate bill rates and titles based on client contracts.
Review and analyze accounts receivable/aging reports, revising and reissuing invoices as necessary.
Payroll Management:
Process payroll for staff and owners bi-weekly for Campos EPC and its subsidiaries.
Accounts Payable & Reconciliation:
Review and approve accounts payable invoices and assist with asset capitalization decisions in line with company policy.
Oversee (and occasionally prepare) bank reconciliations, review daily bank activities, and manage credit card accounts.
Tax Compliance & Reporting:
Prepare sales and use tax reports for various jurisdictions and research state-specific tax reporting requirements for compliance.
System Improvements:
Focus on enhancing automation by improving system integration, particularly between general ledger and timekeeping systems.
Audit & Tax Assistance:
Assist the Controller in planning and coordinating the annual audit and provide support with year-end tax preparations.
Payroll Taxes & Financial Requests:
Assist in managing payroll taxes and preparing various analyses, including debt covenant calculations and monthly borrowing base reports.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
Experience:
At least 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferredt.
CPA certification is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is required.
