Job Description:




Summary of Position: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Corporate Finished Goods Logistics Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will plan and execute the efficient transfer of finished goods between our plant and forward warehouses. Your responsibilities will include maintaining proper inventory levels, minimizing customer service interruptions, and mitigating obsolescent inventory. Additionally, you will assist the Logistics/Transportation management with projects aimed at maximizing and optimizing supply chain efficiencies.


 


Key Responsibilities:




  • Analyze Inventory Reports: Review daily inventory reports for all external facilities, production schedules, and customer demand to determine transfer needs.


  • ERP Transfers: Enter transfers into the company’s ERP (QAD) to cover customer shortages, future replenishment, and assist scheduling with work order planning.


  • Shipment Management: Build, tender, upkeep, and track all transfer shipments to carriers within the company’s TMS through final delivery. Balance transfer demand to maximize warehouse resources and use cost-effective strategies.


  • Customer Order Management: Identify, minimize, and report customer order shortages to Customer Solutions, Operations, Sales, and Management.


  • Inventory Review: Review monthly inventory reports to identify inefficient inventory and provide disposition to the sales group to meet company targets and minimize expired inventory.


  • Supply Chain Support: Serve as a supply chain resource for other departments. 


Qualifications:




  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.


  • Experience: 1-4 years of experience in inventory planning, warehousing, distribution, replenishment, and/or transportation/logistics in a manufacturing environment.


  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using ERP, TMS, and Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel). Ecommerce experience is a plus.


  • Skills: Exceptional math aptitude, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude.
