Position Overview: This position is responsible for assisting our sales team in communicating the value we bring to a customer and ensuring that those values are delivered and realized by our customers. In addition, this position will develop partnerships, through traditional and/or nontraditional methods, to obtain, retain and grow business. This includes being the primary resource for our sellers to assist in working through the complexity of maintaining and growing our sales geographies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to
Understand and help sellers meet sales and other goals
Fully utilize SSI, Keystone Connect, Seed Sales Tool, DataOnTouch and other tools to assist customers, through providing and interpreting information and making recommendations
Ensure objectives and targets of the sellers are met by regular review of plan during Customer Action Plan
Meet to identify, evaluate and respond to key business issues of the sellers; and develop, present, and demonstrate our capabilities to the customer
Work with Marketing team to help create consistent resources to the sales team; assist sellers in customizing and executing strategies
Be a point of reference for YieldPro team and data input, management, and analytics
Review & identify scouting reports and opportunities
Assist in grower sales reporting and accuracy of sales reporting
Aid sellers with follow-up and smaller customer relationship management
Communicate with assigned sellers daily on needs, opportunities and ideas around sales management and preparation
Cooperate with decision makers and operational individuals within different businesses (Grain, Agronomy, Energy and Feed) on all account developments
Provide customer service and act as one of the secondary points of contact for customers including resolving customer issues and complaints
Develop work habits that create, build and support the go to market strategy within the organization
Understand and support marketing strategy and Keystone Cooperative goals, plus changes in these strategies and goals over time
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of specialty crops such as wine grapes and tree fruit
Willingness to learn about crop production business including basic agronomics
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships
Proficient with MS Office suite and company specific software
Ability to understand and utilize additional technological tools and resources
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well within strict time frames, despite numerous interruptions
Strong analytical skills and ability to accurately calculate information
Ability to work without supervision and make appropriate decisions
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related field preferred; or a combination of education and/or experience
