Job Specific Duties
Drives the mobile dental unit to local community shelters, schools, and other sites across South Florida.
Checks all equipment for proper function and cleanliness. Notifies designated employee of any equipment not operating properly and needing repair.
Provides for patient safety, greets parents, and assists patient to operatory checking with parent, reading armband to identify scheduled patient before beginning any procedure.
Maintains cleanliness and working order of the interior of the vehicle and its equipment.
Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of mobile unit, transport equipment, and supplies. Performs routine maintenance and safety checks prior to and after each route.
Provides access for the patients and their families with friendly interaction and communication. Provides assistance or help to enter the Dental Mobile Unit.
Places wrist bands on each patient and logs their arrival into the computer.
Maintains appropriate records and documentation for internal and external regulatory purposes.
Minimum Job Requirements
Valid Class B commercial (CDL) State of Florida driver’s license
DOT medical card required within 30 days in position
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High school education or equivalent preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Experience navigating with Google Maps.
Able to operate truck in safe and professional manner on public highways and roads.
Able to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients, families, and co-workers.
Ability to interpret, adapt, and react calmly under stressful conditions.
