Hanover County Government has an exciting opportunity to join our team as Director of Real Estate Assessments, a key leadership role that plays a vital part in our community’s growth and development. In this position, you’ll have the chance to work closely with a dynamic and dedicated team of professionals who oversee the annual reassessment process with our community.
The preferred candidate should possess extensive knowledge of modern principles and practices in real property assessment, including appraisal methods and techniques. Familiarity with the laws, rules, and regulations governing property appraisals and assessments in Virginia is strongly preferred.
The selected individual will have exceptional analytical skills and the ability to make sound judgments based on data and evidence. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences, including department heads, county staff, government officials, and the general public.
