About the Opportunity:

Shift:
1st - Mon-Thurs - 6:00am-4:30pm
Job Purpose:
Perform complex set-ups and operate a variety of machines which may include but not be limited to CNC operations.
Essential Job Functions:
Operate assigned machines with maximum efficiency.
Prove quality, safety and housekeeping standards.
Responsible for set-up and quality.
Prove capability to plan workload to fully utilize machines.
Cross-train to operate machines in three work cells.
Short-run production machining experience.
Monitor tool wear for more efficient conservation. Perform complex machine set-ups.
Programming experience beneficial.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
Required
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to read blueprints
1-3 years of experience in a machine shop environment
Working knowledge of metal working
Knowledge and use of inspection equipment (Vernier, calipers, gauges, protractors and tape measure)
Preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent
Technical/trade school in metal fabrication
3 - 5 years of experience in a production environment
Basic CNC program editing experience
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift 35 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs. Will also involve repetitive motion. Work area can be noisy.
