Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific has awarded Dragados JV a $2.8 billion task order - under an $8 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), multiple-award construction contract awarded in November 2021 to Dragados JV to replace a dry dock at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility at Joint Base Pearl Harbor.
Responsibilitie
Monitor employees and subcontractors adherence to safety and health programs
Maintain a signed Daily Safety Log of safety related activities
Conduct Bi-weekly safety meetings
Conduct new employee safety orientation
Investigate all accidents and ensure all accidents forms are completed and submitted on time
Maintain site permit log
Ensure all employees and subcontractors wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
Conduct daily safety inspection of work site and submit a report of findings and recommendations to the project superintendent with a copy to the corporate director of safety
Submit safety deficiency reports as required
Distribute and /or post safety awareness information
Immediately report all unsafe acts or conditions and assist in overseeing implementation of corrective action
Maintain project site First Aid Kit
Maintain OSHA 300 Log
Requirements
Qualifications
4 year degree in engineering or ten years of work experience in a safety position
CHST Required
Specific training in OSHA/MSHA safety requirements, First Aid, and CPR
Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations
Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures
Extensive knowledge of domestic safety standards
Experience with CIP a plus

Presentation and facilitation skills
Proven abilities in leadership, communication (verbal and written), organization, and interpersonal skills
Ability to investigate/analyze critical situations in a non-emotional manner
