Job Description:

Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific has awarded Dragados JV a $2.8 billion task order - under an $8 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), multiple-award construction contract awarded in November 2021 to Dragados JV to replace a dry dock at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility at Joint Base Pearl Harbor.


The Marine Superintendent will manage equipment and subcontractors related to the Marine Department.



RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Directly supervise and be responsible for employees in the Marine Construction Department

  • Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays

  • Order procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules

  • Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors

  • Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports

  • Cost control

  • Attend coordination and production meetings with the PM to develop activities and amend possible problems related to structures

  • Perform other duties as assigned




QUALIFICATIONS



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • 5+ years' experience in similar marine construction role with 10+ years of prior construction experience

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret , technical procedures and government regulations

  • Ability to write daily reports,

  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office

  • Availability and willingness to work weekends and night shifts per business needs

Full compensation package : $90,000-$130,000
