A Day in the Life

The Transformation Program Manager will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the ACM operating unit. Reporting to the Director of MPS & operations transformation, this role will lead strategic projects aimed at optimizing critical business processes across all regions and relevant functions.

The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, been able to anticipate future needs and implications and ask the right questions to make good decisions for the business. They will have strong change management experience and also be able to manage business complexity, making sense of project implementation needs in the context of other business priorities.

This position is based in Boulder, Colorado.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Understanding of the commercial transformation (CTx) enterprise vision which is been designed to deliver transformational change to our organisation in order to accelerate commercial effectiveness, optimize commercial efficiency and enhance customer experience; and transforming this into a CTx vision and executable plan for ACM.

  • Collaborate with regional and operational unit teams, as well as global central functional groups on proposed commercial transformation changes to assess impact of changes and readiness of ACM operations to implement.

  • Be a commercial transformation change advocate for ACM. Understand context, value proposition and result of key decisions made by all transformation workstreams, keeping business leaders proactively informed.

  • Establish and execute operating mechanisms for communicating with all identified commercial transformation workstream representatives including leads and HRBPs.

  • Work closely with executive leadership providing regular updates on progress, taking onboard feedback, addressing challenges, and garnering support for change management initiatives

  • Support stakeholder functions within all of the transformation workstreams to understand change impacts to current workflows and build-out new plans as required.

  • Navigate the organizational matrix effectively, building strong relationships and influencing key stakeholders to drive adoption of process improvements and change initiatives.

  • Experience working in a global environment, with a demonstrated understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience in business process improvement roles within the medical device or similarly regulated environments or Advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience in business process improvement roles within the medical device or similarly regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • 12 years of experience in business process improvement roles within the medical device industry or similar regulated environments.

  • Proven expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and other process improvement methodologies, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to achieve measurable results.

  • Strong change management skills, with the ability to communicate a compelling vision for process excellence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$143,200.00 - $214,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
