MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• With appropriate support and training, receives assignments and reviews claim and policy information to provide background for investigation and may determine the extent of the policy's obligation to the insured
• Contacts, interviews and obtains statements or performs onsite inspections related to claims of customers
• Inspect and appraise damage for property losses or arranges for such appraisal
• Evaluates facts to determine extent of a loss of our customer and execute the policy's payment
• Prepares reports on investigation, settlements, and individual evaluation of involved parties
• Reserves for expected claims and recommends reserve changes to Team Leader
• Reviews progress and status of claims with Team Leader and enacts solutions
• Assists Team Leader in developing methods and improvements for handling claims.
• Job is work from home but local travel to loss sites for onsite inspections is required a majority of the time.
• Limited travel to catastrophe sights outside of local area
• Safely inspect roofs when conditions warrant and ability to carry a ladder.
