About the Role 

Essity Health and Medical Solutions is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst – SQL Focus. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets to provide business insights. You will build and manage data models within SQL, develop dashboards within Power BI, and collaborate with various teams to support business intelligence reporting and performance analysis. Your work will directly impact our sales performance and strategic decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate should/could live in Charlotte, NC.

What You Will Do 

• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets for business insights.


• Build and manage data models that support business intelligence reporting and performance analysis.


• Utilize data warehouse structures to ensure efficient querying, reporting, and data modeling.


• Work with SAP Business Warehousing (BW) to extract and integrate data into SQL for analysis and reporting.


• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to monitor sales performance, incentives, and key business metrics.


• Collaborate with the Sales Incentive team to analyze and evaluate sales incentive programs, offering recommendations based on data.


• Conduct in-depth performance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement within the sales pipeline.


• Provide actionable insights to help drive sales and overall business performance improvements.


• Assist in creating data-driven presentations and reports for senior leadership to support decision-making.

Who You Are 

• Relevant bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Engineering).


• 3+ years of experience required.


• Proficient in SQL and experienced in writing and optimizing complex queries.


• Skilled in data modeling and business intelligence reporting.


• Experienced in using Power BI for developing dashboards and reports.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth performance analysis.


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present data-driven insights to senior leadership.


• A team player who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams.


• Detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement.


• Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic
