Operators are responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment used for producing finished goods or sub-assemblies for finished goods. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision; regularly provides guidance to others with less experience. Monitors the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products. Maintains accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Forklift operation experience
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling and gripping
Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces
Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
Ability to read, write and speak English
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree or certifications
2+ years of experience operating and maintaining high-speed productionmachinery in a manufacturing/production environment
Strong understanding of all GMP's, PPE's and quality checks
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Performs quality assurance checks, documentation, place packaging material on the line, change materials/product, machine change overs, troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, clean machine jams and adjusts the machine to minimize downtime and promote productivity.
Operate a pallet jack to move pallets of combos to multiple locations on the line.
Responsible for meeting production requirements daily.
Cleaning, sweeping, inspection, lubrication and reporting abnormalities, etc.
Responsible for the use of proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and meeting all safety guidelines.
May be required to provide backup coverage for the Production Coordinator when needed.
